Cabin & Deer Hunting

Chris and I met Randy, Granddaddy Harold, and Tony at the Cabin on Friday November 12. Chris' first deer hunting trip.

We don't get to the woods until 8 AM. We some squirrels and that is all. Chris shoots the 410 gage shotgun. It is the first time he has shot a real gun.

Sunday, we all shot skeet. Lisa, Ariawantia, and Sarah came down the Cabin.

Layoffs

Another round of layoffs at work. My it makes for long days and a longer work week. It is even worse for those getting layed off. I have been spared from this round, but you never know what the future holds.

Chris starts coach pitch baseball practice this weekend. If it dries off, maybe we can start our garden. And there is always things to be done around the house.

Super Bowl Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers play and beat the Arizona Cardinals. Before the game, the kids and I go to church. Lisa stays home to get ready. We spend the afternoon cleaning and straightening. I make chili for all. Lisa prepares chicken wings. We have lots of food.

The Turners come over about 5:30 PM. The Sarah and Caroline, Christopher and Brandon, and Angie and Lisa all play well together. Tim and I enjoy the game. They stay until the 3rd quarter.

It looks like a Steeler blowout and I get ready for bed. Lisa calls me back out to the TV to see the Cardinals come from behind. But, the Steelers beat them at the end of the game. In bed by 11 PM.

Scrabble Saturday

We spend most of the day cleaning up our home for the friends coming tomorrow for the Super Bowl XLIII. We decide not to go to the dog training at Petsmart. Get more done, yeah.

We all tired out about 3 PM. I shower and go run errands. Lisa and the kids get ready and meet me at Sharon's for Lori's Birthday party. Sharon prepares chili (regular, chicken, and veggie) for supper. After dinner Phil, Zach, Thad, and I play Scrabble. I had not played it in a long time. Except for a game on my old cell phone. It was fun and I won 2 games. Thad won the other 2 games. We stayed until almost 10 PM.

Weekend

Busy weekend.

Friday, Sarah goes to Heather's for a birthday party. Chris goes to grandparents for the evening. Lisa and I get a bite at the Chickfila. And then go to see "Marley and Me" movie. ($17.00) It is the first date for us in a long time. We need to do it more often. We pickup Chris around 9:30 PM. I drop Lisa and Chris at the house and go get Sarah. It is after 10 PM and Sarah was expecting us earlier. We can't find find one of Sarah's silver shoes. It is finally found in the back of Heather's closet. We get home just before 11 PM. Sarah ends up sleeping in our bed.

Saturday help with setup of piano group lesson at St. Luke's. Chris played "Honey Bee" with a broken cord. It delighted the the teacher.

Lisa took Sarah to a cheerleading 3 hour camp at HCA. Sarah had a good time.

After group lesson. Chris and I went library for a book sale. I got four books. Chris bought a Boxcar Children book for Sarah and him to read. Chris checked out two Treehouse books, too. We met Lisa at Petsmart for Gigi's training session with Tina the dog whisperer. It has helped some, but the dog is not getting much work at home.

I go pick-up Sarah at HCA. We go home for lunch of sandwiches. I cleanup some in the kitchen and dining room.

For some reason there are alot of tears at bedtime. I don't know and I don't want to know.

Sunday, I go help prepare breakfast for the Corinth Men. It was fun. I work the front and setup the serving trays. Eggs, sausage, gravy, pancakes, and biscuits. I work the guest register before the 11 AM combined service. Corinth welcomes about 30 more members.

Sunday afternoon, Sarah and I go to Steinmart and exchange a Christmas gift. We go to the mall and buy me a new dress shirt for the father daughter gala on Friday. I enjoyed spending the afternoon with her.

Fish for dinner. I watch a Hallmark movie and stay up too late. 11 PM. Can't wear CPAP mask because of nasal congestion.
