Camping with Chris

Chris and I went camping at Price Lake near Blowing Rock, NC. It was a great weekend. Arriving around 5 PM on Friday, we quickly setup our Coleman tent and cooked hot dogs over the fire. It was cool and windy. Chris went to bed about 8 PM and I was in the sack by 9:30 PM. Good night sleep on the air mattress.

Up and out about 7:30 AM. Started a fire and began breakfast. Chris made Shake and Pour pancakes on our camp stove. Hot coacoa warmed us up. Morning got warmer as sun rose higher. We went to the lake and fished for a couple of hours of fishing. We were lucky to be fishing, but did not catch one. Then an hour in a row boat with odd oars.

We drove into Blowing Rock for lunch at Woodland BBQ. I got a sandwich and Chris had two tacos. We drove down US Highway 221 near Linville and then back to the campsite. We took a short hike in the late afternoon. Hamburgers and fried potatoes for supper.

Sunday morning, warming Pop Tarts on the camp stove and break camp about 10 AM. Home around noon. Fun time!
