One step forward and One back

ATLANTA > NARITA /  TOKYO

We boarded the aircraft in Atlanta and waited. The 747 had a electrical ground problem. They turned the plane off once. The reboot did not clear the problem. We waited 4 hours and then were asked to leave the plane. After some confusion, we received a voucher for a hotel room. Spending a night in Atlanta. After making my way to the taxi stand outside the International Terminal, I was miss directed to a train going to a Marriott. When my room was at a Sheraton. I got a cab ride from the Marriott to the Sheraton. Stood in line with my fellow travelers and got a room.

Up at five for my 0745 flight. Getting a taxi directly to the International Terminal instead shuttling to the Domestic Terminal and navigating the vast Atlanta airport. We pulled away from the gate only to move back to gate a minute later. There were 3 bags on the plane without passengers the captain explained. We finally left and got to Narita/Tokyo airport about 1230 PM local time. I have a 6 hour layover.
